Review Policy

Thank you for taking the time to check out our blog! ~purrs~ We write our reviews out of love for the authors who dedicate their time to the art of writing. We welcome review requests from authors and publishers, as well as recommendations from fans who visit our site. Please do not send us a copy of your book with your review request.

Authors and Publishers:

If you are interested in having us review your book, please contact our human at We promise that she will get back to you in a timely fashion if we express interest in your book (the penalty for her not doing so is severe). We make it our policy to try and read/review ARCs before their release date. If there is a time preference, please specify it in your request. We felines post our reviews here on our blog, as well as on Goodreads, Amazon, Facebook, & Twitter. The following is a list of genres we are interested in, though we will take genres not listed if they tickle our whiskers:

  • Fantasy
  • Fiction
  • Historical Fiction
  • Historical Romance
  • Mystery
  • Non-Fiction
  • Paranormal Romance
  • Science Fiction
  • Steampunk
  • Urban Fantasy
  • Young Adult

***We do not review Erotic, BDSM, or M/M novels***

Our preferred formats are: Paperback, Hardcover, Mobi, PDF/.doc, & ePubs.

Reviews will include the following: Title, Author, Cover Art, Synopsis taken from Goodreads, Publisher Name, Release Date, Personal review, Source from who we received the book from, & Links to where readers may purchase the book.

Series: If you are requesting us to read a book in a series, please be willing to provide the previous books in that series if we have not already read them. In doing so, we will be able to grasp a better understanding of the book and the series and that will reflect in our reviews.

Please take into consideration that all requests we accept do not guarantee a review post. We try to be honest and fair so if we don’t finish the book there will not be a review. Likewise, we pride ourselves on being honest in our reviews, so if we feel that a book was not enjoyable, we will rate it appropriately.

We again thank you for your interest in our blog and we appreciate all of your support! =^.^=

  1. Hello. I adore your blog. The feline rating system is a delight and I’d love the chance to earn some paw prints. My literary mystery, Floats the Dark Shadow, is set in Belle Époque Paris. It’s coming out in September from BearCat Press. I was previously published by Dell and Avon in historical romance. If you like, I can send you a private link to my book trailer, which will give you a very quick idea of the feel of the novel. If you’re interested in reviewing it, I can send you the PDF, or a print out. Thanks for the charming site, Gayle Feyrer writing as Yves Fey (cat tender to Marlowe, Emily and Charlotte, the Flying Bronte Sisters).

  2. I love your website and appreciate the time your team takes to review books. I’ll be sending one soon that I’ll be publishing in November. I wondered if some of your followers want to check out the first two chapters of my diaspora book.
I’d like to note that I’ve been writing this book for five years, long before diaspora became trendy. At one time I was ahead, but now I am just mainstream.

  3. Hi Cameron, I’m just checking in to ensure you’ve been receiving my emails with regards to the Caged tour in August you signed up for. Please could you let me know either way if you’re still interested in participating so I can adjust the schedule accordingly?
    Many thanks.
    J.A. Belfield

  4. It is awesome that you provide this service for authors. With how flooded the market is, it’s hard to really get started so I thank you for taking the time to do reviews! Just sent my email so hopefully it’s something that peeks your interest for reviewing.
