WinterHaven Sleigh Tour: The Magic of Christmas

This is the final installment of our three-day participation in the WinterHaven Sleigh Tour hosted by WinterHaven Books! The topic for today’s post has everyone sharing one of their favorite Children’s Winter/Christmas stories. =^.^=

Our Favorite Christmas Story is…

Van Allsburg’s Polar Express is an old-fashioned steam train that takes children to the North Pole on Christmas Eve to meet the red-suited gentleman and to see him off on his annual sleigh ride. This is a personal retelling of the adult storyteller’s adventures as a youngster on that train.

No matter what age you are, there’s just something magical about this story! And ever since the movie version came out, we made it a practice to watch it as often as possible every year. It’s a true classic that touches the heart and leaves you wondering, Is there really a Santa?

If you haven’t yet read the book, we strongly encourage you to do so this year. Curl up with the ones you love this Christmas, and enjoy this magic this book will bring everyone, murr! =^.^=
